5/8" TUBING

Radiantec's 5/8" tubing is one of the few tubings engineered expressly for radiant heating purposes. Many of the others were engineered for waterline service. As a result, the Radiantec 5/8" tubing puts out more heat, is relatively easy to work with, is long lasting and saves on electricity needed for pumping. It is ideal for slabs, joisted floors and retrofit applications. Its higher performance allows the system to operate at a lower temperature for higher efficiency. The 5/8" tubing is available with a .070 wall thickness for superior heat output or if codes require, a .083 wall thickness to meet typical ASTM 877 standards.

Crosslinked polyethylene tubing

This tubing was developed with grant support from United States Department of Energy many years ago. Its larger size and slightly thinner walls means that it will put out more heat than many other tubes. It has the lowest overall cost because of this higher efficiency. It is not as maneuverable in small spaces as other tubes.

A smaller tubing with a thicker wall. A stronger tubing with higher temperature and pressure ratings. It is easier to work with and has good code acceptance. Its limited heat output means that it must be spaced closer together. More tubing will need to be installed and the project will have a higher overall cost.

Floor Control

D-26F digital thermostat is specifically designed for Radiant Floor Heating Systems. It is very simple to install and operate without any programming steps. A 10 ft. auxiliary remote sensor is provided to measure and control the floor temperature. In addition, an ON/OFF switch can be used to turn off the relay output. Setpoint and floor temperature or room temperature is displayed on the LCD screen with backlit.

Slab Manifold

Used for placing heating tubes within a concrete slab.

Includes

A 10-piece plywood box to:

1. keep the concrete away from the copper
2. protect everything during construction
3. maintain access to the fittings.

Pressure testing equipment including: pressure gauge, air stem (tire type), air vent, and adaptor fittings from plastic tubing to copper. The box is taken apart and discarded after construction, leaving the manifold in a "manifold well." Individual shut off valves are included on both sides of each circuit.

Wall mounted manifolds are also available for the same price as above. These manifolds will have the adaptors pointing downward towards the floor instead of at a 90 degree angle. These manifolds can be used for systems with tubing already installed or for joisted floor applications.
